This guide provides detailed technical instructions for connecting your Beds24 property management system (PMS) to your Minut account. The objective of this integration is to automate communication with customers in case of noise detection. By linking the two systems, Minut can automatically retrieve the contact information of the client registered in Beds24 for a specific property and send them an SMS message if predefined noise levels are exceeded.   

Prerequisites for Minut and Beds24 integration

Before you begin, make sure you have the following:

  • An active Minut account with at least one sensor installed.
  • A Beds24 account with administrative access rights.

Step 1: Configure API access in Beds24

The first step is to authorize Minut to communicate securely with your Beds24 account by configuring an API key and an IP whitelist.

  1. Log in to your Beds24 account.
  2. Go to (SETTINGS) > ACCOUNT > ACCOUNT ACCESS.   
  3. In the API Key field, enter a unique and secure key of at least 16 characters. You can generate a random string for this purpose. Keep this key, as you will need it later.   
  4. For the API Key Access setting, select the option 'allow whitelist IP only'. This is a crucial security measure to ensure that only requests from Minut servers are allowed.   
  5. In the IP Whitelist field, enter the following IP addresses, separated by spaces  :   34.210.109.50 52.27.242.23 52.88.133.148 54.68.231.215
  6. Set the Allow Writes parameter to YES. This authorization is necessary for Minut to retrieve reservation data.   
  7. For Property Access, select 'Owned by this account only'.   
  8. Click on SAVE to save the changes.

Step 2: Create unique property keys (propKey) in Beds24

Each property you want to connect must have a unique identifier, called propKey, which will serve as the link between Beds24 and Minut.

  1. In Beds24, go to (SETTINGS) > PROPERTIES > ACCESS.   
  2. For the first property you want to connect, create a unique and random string of at least 16 characters and enter it in the propKey field.   
  3. Important : Each propKey must be unique for each property. You cannot reuse the same key.   
  4. Click on SAVE.
  5. Repeat this process for each property you wish to integrate with Minut.

Step 3: Finalize the connection in the Minut dashboard

Now that Beds24 is configured, you can establish the connection from your Minut account.

  1. Sign in to the Minut web app.
  2. Go to the Integrations section in the left-hand menu.   
  3. Find and select Beds24 in the list of available PMS.   
  4. Click Connect.   
  5. Read and accept the terms of use.   
  6. You will be prompted to enter two pieces of information :
    • Your Beds24 username.
    • The API key you created in Step 1.   
  7. After entering these details, the initial connection will be established.

Step 4: Map the properties

The final step is to link your Minut properties to their corresponding Beds24 listings.

  1. Once the connection is established, Minut will display a list of your properties equipped with a sensor.
  2. For each Minut property, use the dropdown menu to select the corresponding Beds24 listing. This process uses the propKeys you created to ensure a correct match.   
  3. Make sure each property is mapped correctly.
  4. Once all your properties are linked, the integration is complete and active.   

Verification and Troubleshooting of the Minut/Beds24 integration

Messages are not sent to customers1. The parameter Allow Writes is not enabled in Beds24. 2. The property mapping is incorrect or incomplete in Minut.1. In Beds24, under (SETTINGS) > ACCOUNT > ACCOUNT ACCESS, check that Allow Writes is set to YES. 2. In the Minut Integrations section, verify that each Minut property is correctly linked to the right Beds24 listing.

Once the integration is complete, don't forget to configure your automated messaging preferences in Minut's settings to set the noise thresholds and customize the message sent to customers.
