🚀 Découvrir Lodgify

The integration of the Minut property monitoring tool with the Lodgify vacation rental management system (PMS) Lodgify enables automating essential tasks, from communicating with guests to protecting your property. By synchronizing Lodgify reservation data with Minut's real-time alerts, you can automate notifications to guests in case of excessive noise and schedule key messages throughout their stay.

This technical guide explains, step by step, how to connect the two platforms, configure automations, and troubleshoot common issues.

Prerequisites

Before you begin, make sure you have the following:

  • An active Lodgify account : You must have access to a functional Lodgify account.
  • An active Minut Pro subscription : Access to PMS integrations is a premium feature. You must have a Minut Pro or higher subscription.
  • At least one Minut sensor : Your sensor must be installed and connected to your property's Wi-Fi.
  • Administrator access : You will need login credentials for both platforms. The integration is configured exclusively via the Minut web application (web.minut.com).

Step 1: Obtain Your Public API Key from Lodgify

The API key (Application Programming Interface) is a unique code that authorizes Minut to securely access the reservation data of your Lodgify account.

  1. Log in to your Lodgify account.
  2. In the main menu, navigate to Settings (Settings).
  3. In the left menu, click on Public API (Public API).
  4. Your personal API key will be displayed. Click the Copy button to copy it to your clipboard. Make sure to copy the entire key with no extra spaces.

Step 2: Establish the Connection in the Minut Dashboard

Now that you have the API key, you will use it to establish the connection in the Minut platform.

  1. Open a new tab and sign in to the Minut web application at web.minut.com.
  2. In the left menu, click on Integrations (Integrations).
  3. Scroll to the property management systems (PMS) section and find Lodgify.
  4. Click the Connect (Connect) button associated with Lodgify.
  5. A window will appear asking you to enter your API key. Paste the API key you copied from Lodgify in step 1.
  6. Click again on Connect to validate. A confirmation message will appear if the connection is successful.

Step 3: Map Your Properties (Critical Step)

This step is essential to ensure that alerts and messages are sent to the right guests. You must tell Minut which sensor corresponds to which Lodgify property.

  1. After establishing the connection, stay in the Lodgify integration configuration in Minut and go to the Rental Units tab (Rental units).
  2. Minut will display the list of your sensors on one side and the list of Lodgify-imported properties on the other.
  3. For each Minut sensor, use the dropdown to select and match the corresponding Lodgify property.
  4. Repeat this process for all properties you want to monitor.

Important: A mapping error can lead to sending notifications to the wrong guest. Take the time to carefully verify each association.

Step 4: Configure Automated Communication

Once the integration is active, you can configure automated communications for noise alerts and scheduled messages.

Noise Alerts

  1. In the Minut dashboard, go to Settings -> Monitoring -> Noise Monitoring.
  2. Enable the communication channels you want to use :
    • Client SMS : Sends an automated text message to the phone number synced from Lodgify.
    • Autocall : Makes an automated call with a pre-recorded message.
    • Flash & Sound : Makes the sensor flash red and emit a sound to alert occupants directly.
  3. You can customize the message and create an escalation sequence for the first, second, and third warnings.

Scheduled Messages (Guest Connect)

Use this feature to send welcome, arrival, or departure messages.

  1. In the Minut dashboard, go to the Messaging section (Messaging).
  2. Click Add a Message to create a new template.
  3. Write your message using shortcodes to customize it. These variables will be automatically replaced by reservation details.
    • {{stay_contact_name}} : Customer's name.
    • {{rental_unit_name}} : Name of the property.
    • {{stay_start_date}} : Arrival date.
    • {{stay_end_date}} : Departure date.
  4. Schedule the sending of the message based on stay dates (for example, "3 days before arrival").

Troubleshooting Common Issues

  • API key connection failure :
    • Cause : The API key was copied incorrectly or your Lodgify account does not have the necessary permissions.
    • Solution : Re-copy the API key from Lodgify. Make sure to use an administrator account. If the problem persists, clear your browser cache or try disconnecting and reconnecting the integration.
  • Properties or reservations do not sync :
    • Cause : The initial synchronization may take time, especially for a large number of properties. There may also be a mapping error.
    • Solution : Wait up to an hour after connection. Check that all your properties are correctly mapped in the Rental Units tab. Some platforms provide a button to force a manual refresh ("Request Pull").
  • Automated messages are not being sent :
    • Cause : The client's phone number is missing or incorrect in Lodgify, or the country code is not supported by Minut's SMS service (e.g., United Arab Emirates, Malaysia, Singapore).
    • Solution : Check the client's contact information in Lodgify. Ensure that SMS alerts are enabled in Minut's Noise Monitoring settings.

If problems persist, it is advisable to contact Minut support for questions related to the integration and sensor operation, and Lodgify support for issues related to the API key or reservation data.
